We're building the check layer for physical AI.

Every robot has a body, and bodies drift. A camera gets bumped, a gripper bends, a joint's zero slips. Nothing stops. The robot keeps working, slightly wrong, and nobody knows until the output is bad. There is no layer in the stack that catches this. We're building it.

The check layer sits between the robot and whatever runs it. Before a shift, before a data collection session, after any bump, the robot checks its own body: what moved, by how much, the fix, and whether it's safe to go. Six seconds. No new hardware. Any robot with joints and a camera.

Starting with arms. Working in simulation today, real arms this month. Building out of Harvard Innovation Labs.

If you build or run robots, this layer is for you. contact@respitelabs.net
